There’s no need to mock me.

Nothing like driving into work, listening to NPR, to get my blood boiling. I think that’s why I love the Stella commute so much, no radio, just me and the road, but that’s another story, another blog.

This story is a about respect or lack there of. As you may know, I post a weekly forum on Facebook on Tuesdays called Polituesday. It’s a lively day of politics, points and counterpoints, passions and emotions with a smattering of propaganda and one sided facts.

As of late, it is a scrum and not so much fun anymore. Not just Polituesday but everyday becomes a mockumentary. People behind their computers say the most heinous things knowing that I can’t reach through their monitors to smack them around.

I personally try not to demean or mock the people that disagree with me. I make a point, listen and then counter point. I know that I am not going to change some people’s mind or position, I attempt to respect their opinion even though I occasionally want to strangle them.

President Obama is mocker. He makes fun of the American people that totally disagree with his ideology. There’s no need for that. A satirical leader is not a leader worth following, he’s a bully. The Tea Party was fostered because we disagreed with the Stimulus which was just a payback to public service unions across the country,  the bank & automotive bailouts, the Affordable Healthcare act, the Cap and Trade tax on energy consumption, the Fed’s destruction of the dollar and the explosion of entitlement programs that we cannot afford anymore. It’s not the Nazi party or extreme in any fashion.

The choices of this election could not be more stark, not snark. The progressives want a government centered society where the field is leveled, everybody deserves their fair share. And everyone pays their fair share. The government and their smart bureaucrats run the show to make it fair, the wealth is spread around so no one is left behind. Income has to be equalized, it’s only fair. They should change the Democratic Part to the Fair Party(OK that was snarky, sorry).

I can respect this position, but I don’t agree with it. So why don’t I get the respect for my position?

The conservative agenda is one of free enterprise, individual responsibility and opportunity. A people centered society where we take care of those in need by helping them get back on their feet. We want a small, limited government that is off the back of small business and not in our Dr’s office. We think that we know better how to spend OUR hard earned money than the government and we would like to keep more of it. Notice that I am not talking about the GOP, they are the problem as well. They don;t want the government to be right sized because they will have to give up their power too. We have the constitution on our side. Eventually we will either prevail of this country. as we hanse known it for 220 years will cease to exist. I believe that.

So what’s the point here. That’s simple and complex.

I’m not going to put up with this crap anymore:

Keidel, you are a freakin’ mess, dude…get a grip already. for crissakes, I see you constantly popping up on Jamie’s stuff, and nothing but diarrhea ever comes out of your brain.

or

hmmmm remind me not to suggest this agency to any producers

Why should I put up with that?

I’m going to reconsider what being my Facebook friend really means. My real friends make fun of me but don’t openly mock me. I’m a big boy, I can handle the heat. I like politics but I’m not crazy about the level of discourse. So you can expect me from time to time to take my postings and go away to post another day. I’m not running away, I’m taking notice.

If you are consistently a dick, I’m going to toss you to the curb and ban you from posting to my threads. I hate to lose actual friends over politics, but if you’re mean spirited, condescending, holier than thou OR you let your foul mouth friends belittle me, well what kind of friend are you anyway?

I am changing the course of Polituesday starting today. I’m going to attempt to lay out the Romney agenda. Feel free to disagree. But keep it civil, at least on my thread. Please agree to disagree but respect my position. That’s all I could ever ask for.

Thank You, President Barack Hussein Obama.

After the last couple of weeks of political folly with both conventions, all the talking head punditry and bloviating, I thought today would be a good day to give thanks.

First and formats, I’d like to thank President Barack Hussein Obama. Thank you Mr. President for being exactly who you are and by governing with such a blindingly liberal/progressive ideology that I was awakened and called to action. To stop you.

Thank you for breaking your GITMO promise, we don’t want those terrorists here on the mainland. And thanks for not trying them in NYC-how are those trials going?

Thank you Mr President for rebuking any partisan cooperation by proclaiming “I Won” on your first and only meeting with the GOP, during the stimulus planning.

Thank you for the stimulus, 800 billion for shovel ready jobs, roads and bridges to nowhere. Because of you cities and and states could add public union employees for a year only to be laid off when the stimulus money was gone. Thank you for cash for clunkers program that took so many perfectly good used cars out of service. Thanks for directing some TARP cash to GM and Chrysler and saving all those union jobs and hosing the bondholders. Thanks for the Chevy Volt, the Solendra of autos that loses 40k per auto. Thanks for giving Chrysler to Fiat, the Italians are happy to have icons like JEEP. Good job, would you like a participation trophy?

Thank you President Barack for apologizing for all the terrible deeds we have done to all the nations of the world. Did that do any good? Does the world love us anymore now than under President Bush?

Thank you Mr President for appointing so many communists to the White House staff, Thanks for Holder the racist, Geitner the tax cheat, Napolitano, the sexist, Van Jones, the useful idiot and especially, thanks for Val Jarrett for pulling your strings. And thanks to all the behind the scene players at the Center for American Progress, the Tides Foundation, the Open Society- funded by George “evil dude” Soros. What a lovable guy.

A special thanks to your wife, Michelle, for demonizing the fact that I am fat because I eat what I want. I like McDonalds, White Castle and Taco Bell.

Thank you for being such an arrogant asshole, you fired up the sleeping conservative universe, you gave rise to the Tea Party, you made Glenn Beck a household name, you ignored the economy to satisfy the urge to take over the healthcare industry.

Thank you so much, President Barry, for the unconstitutional Affordable Health Care Act? Thanks for making me pay 10 years for only 6 years of benefits, for putting my health and my family’s health the the hands of unknown and unelected bureaucrats. I have a colonoscopy scheduled, would you like to put your 2 cents in? I could use the minerals and change.

Thank you for offering such great welfare entitlements, unemployment benefits, food stamps and the free stuff so people can just give up on finding meaningful work. Why work with all the Obama cash around? Vote for me and you live off the other workers for free. Thanks for putting the word unattainable in my vocabulary.

Thanks for mocking me, calling me an extremist, idiot, whacko just because I disagree with everything you believe in. Thanks for the truth squad site. You have emboldened me and millions like me. Thanks for opening my eyes to the progressive lies and distortions and policies that have NEVER worked anywhere in history.

Thanks for putting Pelosi and Reid in charge of the country while you vacationed and golfed and skipped your daily security briefings. We tossed out Speaker Pelosi in 2010 and Reid will go in 2012, thanks to you.

Thanks for dissing our allies like Great Britain and Israel. Who needs friends that have our back when we have the Arab Spring to nurture and support.

Thanks for Joe Biden who, makes Sarah Palin look like a Rhode Scholar. He’s one heartbeat away for your job. Tell Joe to knock off the Osama’s dead football spiking, he’s hurting the feelings of the Islama-terrorists around the world.

Thanks for spending 5 trillion that we don’t have. We’re borrowing it from our children and their children not China. Without us, there is no world economy. Thanks for making the 8% (really 15%) unemployment the new “reality”.

Thank you President Barack Hussein Obama. Enjoy your retirement.

Big enough to say I made a mistake.

I’m big enough to say that I made a mistake yesterday with a post on Facebook. Hopefully, I can remedy that mistake by offering this apology and posting this story.
Yesterdays post:
Shut ‘er down Mr. Speaker. Don’t back down, I’ve got your back.

and then I posted an article about how the shutdown is not really a shut down. You can find that link here:

Where's the Senate Budget Bill, Harry. We passed ours 40 days ago!

Both these posts got the normal right/left bloviation as usual from the usual suspects. It makes for good reading throughout a rather boring advertising day. Poking liberal/progressives with a stick is fun, it’s a hobby.

But sometimes I go too far, I write things without fully thinking out the ramifications of how my words effect the people around be. I can be insensitive, a bully, my family says that I “bark”. I’m working on not being so negative. I’ve stopped posting to the “Party of No.org”. Although I still keep those core values of small gov/personal responsibility.
I got an email for a good friend who works for the government, he let me have it. He’s super smart, conservative and has a serious job protecting us from evil.
He writes:
“Hey Keidel, as a fed, I’ll tell you that everything won’t go on as usual if a shutdown happens. Although you’re absolutely right – This could have all been avoided if the Dems simply passed their budget last year. As someone that is going to be directly affected by this (my family as well and most of the people in DC), I find this infuriating. Governments shouldn’t be so fucking infective that they shut down.”
Wo.
“In this economic climate, it’s actually quite unlikely that the Republican led congress will reimburse our salaries, especially those voted in by the Tea Party movement. So federal employees, as disliked as we may be by the masses, are being used as “pawns” by the politicians. Personally, and obviously unobjectively, I find it infuriating. We vote those sonofabitches into their benefit-filled positions so they can pass budgets and make laws and they simply don’t do their jobs, but they still get paid, still have benefits. I do my job, daily and I lose my salary and my benefits. And I’m hung out to dry to cover my mortgage, rent, car payment, daycare, etc.”
Double wo.
A shutdown is a big deal. And it’s going to make things a mess. Fuck, if people think that your average federal process takes a long time now, I can guaran-damn-tee you that once federal employees are brought back on from the shutdown, depending on how long that is, it’s going to be a long time before they’re caught up and serving the public in a timely fashion.
Just my two cents pal. How’s everything else by you and your fam? All good?”
Ok, my eyes are wide open. Point taken. I sent back a note that I would cover his mortgage and buy a diaper or two, which I would gladly do. He would never ask though.
My brother Johnny works for the DOD. He’s may to be furloughed too.
I put in a call to him, he’s in Israel, getting the “Iron Dome” working.

Dang, I’m a dumbass sometimes.

So I stand corrected, humbled. The government shut down is a big fucking deal, it affects all the employees that count on getting a well earned paycheck. Most work hard at what they do especially those who are protecting my family.
BUT. My main point stands. The 2011 budget battle that looms large should have been waged last summer, when Obama, Pelousi and Reid had control of the three branches. They punted on passing a budget. They attempted to cement in the HUGE budget raises from the year before with CR’s. It cost some of them their jobs. To this day, the US Senate has not passed a budget bill for 2011, the HR has. What do you think the Tea Party was bitchin’ about. The spending under Obama/Reid/Pelousi/and fucking Bush was insane and is unsustainable.

I'm smarter than you, dawg.

President Obama has not led, rather voted present like he always has. He knows that his policies have nearly bankrupted the nation. Pelousi on the other hand does not, she’s the dumbest person in congress. Reid is a hack. Bush deserves some blame, yes, I said that.  Who’s to blame for the shutdown? Obama, Reid and Pelousi. They need to do their job and put forth a real budget. They haven’t done their job.

I hope they come to an agreement and the government does not close. I DO NOT want the Speaker to cave in though. He’s trying to do the right thing. Let’s get past this and on to the bigger battle, the one to save the USA.

Ryan has put a brilliant plan out there, where’s Obama’s Plan? Where Reid and Pelousi’s plan? Get back to fucking work. Work through the weekend, all of you.
I’ll give you till Monday!~

Is Civility the new Censorship?

OK, it’s been over a week since the AZ shooting spree. I wanted to write about what happened after the news broke. I waited a week.

My heart goes out to all the families that have lost or have injured loved ones. This was a heinous murder. The shooter was a loon and deserves the death penalty. How can there be any reasonable doubt that he did it? He did it. He’s guilty.  He should be advised to plead guilty to stop the pain on the families that he has reaped havoc upon. He is crazy, but so what. It’s no defense in my book.

What happen within hours of this attack was equally heinous.

The blame game started immediately, it was particularly vicious. And all one sided. Left blamed right, right defended itself, left pushed harder, right hunkered down. It was butt ugly. The Sheriff was dead wrong in his assessment and had no proof that there was no connection to anyone on the conservative side, but he shot his mouth off any way. Facebook erupted with teeth mashing and hand wringing. One friend posted that he “knew this would happen”. WTF.

I posted that I’d rather play angry birds than try to defend the conservative line. Looking back, it was all such bullshit.

This was and is no connection to
A/conservative talk radio,
B/ Sarah Palin, Rush, Glenn, Fox or anybody but the shooter
C/the leadership of the POTUS was called onto the carpet and again I was disappointed by Obama response

I’m getting tired of being painted as an extremist just because I vehemently disagree with the Democratic/Progressive policies.
And I have to say, the shit I see on TV and see on the internet about hatred and crap from my side–I don’t see it that way and my story today is to explain why. First some facts about me:

I’m conservative first.
I do vote mostly Republican.
I am a proud Cincinnati Tea Party Member.
I watch Glenn Beck every night, I DVR it. I like Glenn.
I watch the O’Reilly factor on Fox every night.
I like FOX news, it is fair and balanced. It is damn it.
I read Rush Online, WSJ online, DRUDGE, Townhall, Cincinnati.com everyday.

So I feel that I’m an expert on all of these people because I actually watch, read or see it from the source.  That does NOT mean that I’m brainwashed by them. I occasionally watch MSNBC, John Stewart, Mahar on HBO, Nightline , just to get my ire up. During the election I watched both conventions and challenged my friends to do the same, they would not. I have asked my progressive friends to watch Fox or Glenn, they will not. They get their talking points from third party sources that are colored with their brand of propaganda. I have a problem with that.

To quote Pete Rose, “If you haven’t tried Gold Star, how can you get in on the talk or even form an opinion.” If you don’t get your info from the source, you’re just getting here-say, third party, tainted, quotes about what is said.

So let me take each one separately.

I went to all but one Cincinnati Tea Party event. In saw no hatred. None. Sure there were some signs that were questionable, mostly funny, but no hatred. There were no arrests, no crime.

Glenn Beck is honorable man. There’s no hatred or any call to violence on his TV show. I don’t listen to his radio show, the TV show has been nothing but inspiring. He encourages his watchers to do their own homework, to question with boldness, to make a connection their GOD and to be non violent. The lies and distortion about Glenn Beck have been directed by George Soros and his band of ugliness. Glenn has proved that Soros tentacles have no boundaries. Again, if you don’t watch the show, your opinion is invalid. If you can prove him wrong with facts, do it. Real facts not bogus Media Matter bullshit. The left so hates Glenn they end up slobbering all over themselves. They want him dead.

O’Reilly is the Ted Baxter of Fox news, he’s a major blowhard BUT he plays the fair and balanced game better than anyone on TV news. The Factor always has both sides to the story, always.

Fox News is a force to be dealt with and the left main stream media hates it. It not only lives up to its fair and balance tagline, but personifies what TV News will be from now on. The ratings speak for itself. If you are getting your news from NYT, Obama approved, Huff Po, you are not getting news, just hateful rhetoric. Plus Fox has the smartest and most beautiful newscasters on the planet. Who else compares?

Rush is rush, I don’t listen to the show but I love his website. I go there for the links, same with DRUDGE. Rush is not afraid of either side and tells it like it is. I don’t read or see the vitriol or hatred, sometime caustic and opinionated but not threatening or violent.

The ugliness, vitriol and hatred came from the left last week, it really pissed me off. Their policies have been debunked and proven to be a complete failure again and again. They so what to silence the right by attempting place blame and project their hatred. The majority spoke in November and they are desperate and sometimes despicable.

I sure hope this blame game comes to an end. We need to fix our economy and the government cannot do it. It’s up to the individual to make it better by bettering themselves. Small businesses need to be unleashed, unregulated.
Sniveling must end.

There’s only one word for this season’s political advertising…despicable.

There’s only one word for this season’s political advertising…despicable.

I consider my self an expert in the field because of my thirty years of experience building and supporting Cincinnati’s iconic brands. I have created award winning advertising for LaRosa’s Pizzerias, Gold Star Chili, Skyline, Hudepohl Schoenling, it’s a long list. Not one negative ad.

When running a TV spot, I consider that I have been invited into my customer’s living rooms or with radio into their cars. I consider it an honor and not a place to shout or insult.

There’s nothing honorable about political advertising these days. What’s being played out in my living room is deplorable. The back biting, disclaimer riddled, lies and distortions are fatiguing and down right disgusting. Instead of running for an office and outlining their agenda, offering coherent solutions to the problems we all face, todays politicians use negative comparison approaches that literally turn off their constituents.

Crazy Juice

Don’t tell me about the other guy, tell me about you. What is your unique selling point as to why I should vote for you, pay your salary, send you to Washington to represent me? When did distortions become the norm? When did the old adage ” if you don’t have something good to say, don’t say anything” become not i the standard. Just once, I’d like to hear an actual coherent good idea for change not a promise for fundamental redistributive change.

is Monzel the idiot? Or does Tarbell have the solutions?

We live in the best country in the world but every couple of years we forget about that fact and show our ugly underbelly that is the political landscape today. The world is laughing at us. I don’t really care what the rest of the world thinks, but for one, think it stinks. While my President thinks that anyone that disagrees with his agenda is dangerous or that the tea party people are bigoted and says so on TV, he diminishes he’s stature and the office he precariously holds. Can’t we just agree to disagree? Stop calling me names.

Now, to be fair, I must disclose that I am a proud Cincinnati Tea Party member, if they had a card, I would be sporting it. If you look at my site, I do have a political section, it is a ranting, seething conservative dissertation  about how  President Obama’s policies are poison for my country. I do think that there  is “Power” in saying “NO”. BUT, it’s on my site, I’m not beaming it into your living room, you have to go looking for it. And yes, I do stir the pot on Facebook and incite some heated discussion threads. I lose FB friends all the time and gain new ones. Nobody really wants to actually discuss politics in a rational way. It makes Facebook interesting, more interesting than your Farmville or 4Square status.

I think that politicians should knock off the negative crap. Hire a professional advertising creative and craft a positive message. Push a positive agenda, change the same old to look to the future. Be nice and shout down the negative fearmongers in public, not on public airwaves.

Otherwise, you are NOT invited into my living room and I won’t vote for you.

I don’t think I want to be republican anymore…

I don’t think I want to be republican anymore…

I will never, ever be a democrat either. Seems to me, both parties are out of touch with me, freaked out about losing their power structure to a bunch of decent grandmas and grandpas, moms & dads, you know the astro turf gang of haters and racists that I more than identify with. Would you like some tea?

I got FB defriended by both the Hamilton County Republican party fan page and their leader, Alex Triantafilou. Just for speaking my mind on their establishment elite, GOP threads. Actually, I was just trying to warn against using the evil political tool box of negative advertising.

I hate negative advertising, passionately..

It’s a pity, I wanted to help them with their story telling, guide them to the power of positive imaging, where you talk about what’s great about who we are and how we can make our little patch of grass always green even during the harsh summer recession.

John Kasich fell for the trap of Strickland’s lies, hell, Drehaus calls himself a fiscal conservative and voted for the porkulas, Obamacare and the financial bailout and reform, you’ve got to be kidding me. Chabot distorts Drehaus, on and on-blah blah blah. Enough already, i’ve had enough. Don’t fucking tell me who I can or can’t trust because I trust neither right now.

The great candidateThings are changing, the tea party, especially the Cincinnati Tea party has really made a difference and it is a force to be reconded with. Mike Wilson is an excellent candidate, he’s not in my district, I’d vote for him twice if I could. We need to clone him or find people just like him (they are out there in the Tea Party, but they are shy.)

I want to vote for the candidate who is honest, not over promising, someone who offers a common sense approach, conservative, conservative and conservative. If the republican not RINO, fits the bill, they have my vote. Conservative Democrat(oxymoron), maybe.  Progressive, no way in hell.

I truly believe that our governments are out of control and have to be neutered or spayed. Give the power of my life back to me.

That goes for  City, County, State and Federal. There needs to be someone who stands up to the Public service unions and SEIU and tells them that they sold their membership a lie…the American people are not going to pay for a 80% pension for a 55 year-old for the rest of their life or pick up 100% of their healthcare. Not happening. I want to see less government, less taxes, a lot less spending, less nannyism and idiotic unfunded mandates and regulation.

I will no longer put party over principal. When asked my party affiliation, I’m a conservative, when asked my race, I say American.
